Kornieck And Bey Named CU Athlete Of The Week, Presented By Arrow

BOULDER – Soccer's Taylor Kornieck and men's basketball's Tyler Bey were named the CU Athletes of the Week, presented by Arrow, for the week of Nov. 11 – 17.
Kornieck, a senior from Henderson, Nev., had three points in Colorado's 6-0 win over Northern Colorado in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The midfielder assisted on CU's first goal, giving her 100 career points. The assist also tied her for the career lead, now with 24. Kornieck then scored her fourth penalty kick of the season and ninth of her career upping her point total to 102 career points.
Bey, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., led the Buff's to their second win of the season over San Diego. The forward tallied a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Bey also added three blocks and shot 4-7 from the floor. This was his 21st career double-double and second this season. It was also Bey's 30th game scoring in double figures and first game with multiple three-point field goals made.

Men's Cross Country – John Dressel
The senior recorded a fifth-place finish to lead the third-ranked Buffaloes at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships. He finished the 10-kilometer course in 30:35.5.
Women's Cross Country – Sage Hurta???????
The senior was the top female for CU at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships, finishing ninth overall. She ran the 6-kilometer course in 20:09.4.
Women's Basketball – Emma Clarke
The sophomore helped Colorado go 2-0 this week, earning wins over Wisconsin and Wyoming. She tallied 11 points against Wisconsin and followed that up with her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Wyoming.
Volleyball – Rachel Whipple
The senior posted a career-high 28 digs in a five-set loss to No. 22 Washington State. She is only the fourth player over 26 dogs in the rally scoring era.
