Grady Stepping Down As CU Assistant Golf Coach

Returning To Private Business After Four-and-a-Half Years
BOULDER — Pat Grady, the assistant golf coach at the University of Colorado for the last four-and-a-half years, is stepping away from his full-time duties, CU head coach Roy Edwards announced Saturday.
Grady, a four-year letterman for the Buffaloes from 2005-09, will remain associated with the program in a volunteer capacity as he has decided to return to his private accounting business.
"I want to say thank you to Pat Grady for his awesome five seasons as our assistant coach," Edwards said. "He made the decision to go back into private business so that he can spend more time with his young family. We admire him for that decision and it is a great example to the young men on our team — that family always comes first. Pat is as principled, hard-working, and competitive of a person as I have ever been around."
Grady earned All-Big 12, PING All-Region and honorable mention All-American honors as a senior in 2009, when he was named to the prestigious GCAA All-America Scholar team. As an assistant coach, he helped recruit and tutor three players who earned All-Pac-12 honors or higher.
"I want to thank Coach Edwards for providing this opportunity and supporting me over the last five years," Grady said. "Saying it was a dream job would be an understatement. I was fortunate to work with some of the most talented and brightest young men from Colorado and around the globe.
"I also want to thank everyone who supports CU golf – boosters, admin staff, the golf courses and their staffs, parents, fans, and many more," he added. "The University of Colorado has been my home for nearly ten years between playing and coaching and I will miss it dearly.
"I will remain local, however, and hope to see all of you in the stands at the next game. Go Buffs!"
