Spring Game, Presented By UCHealth, Set For April 27

April 19, 2019 | Football

BOULDER – Colorado football's spring game, presented by UCHealth, is set for kickoff at noon on Saturday, April 27, at Folsom Field. (Click here for more information on the spring game)

First-year head coach Mel Tucker will conduct a Black and Gold scrimmage. The event will also include a postgame selfie session on the field with football student-athletes and coaches, and the UCHealth Skills Challenge.

The UCHealth Skills Challenge will include a 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, and a three-cone drill.

Prior to kickoff, Healthy Kids Day, presented by Children's Hospital of Colorado, will take place starting at 11 a.m. in the Indoor Practice Facility with skills, activities and fitness stations conducted by CU student-athletes from different teams. Also during that time, the UCHealth photo booth will be on the Folsom Field concourse.

During the game, fans can participate in the in-game experience with the opportunity to catch a punt, call a play, catch a pass from a CU quarterback, or run out with the team behind Ralphie before the start. Grades 9-12 are restricted from these events due to NCAA rules and regulations. (Sign up for a chance to win an in-game experience here)

Other events throughout the day include a select-a-seat for fans wishing to purchase season tickets, food trucks, and beer tasting for fans 21-and-older.

The first 100 CU students in attendance will receive a Qdoba meal card.

Red Cross Donations
The American Red Cross of Colorado & Wyoming is sending disaster relief volunteers to help the people of Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa that have been devastated by floods.

More than 40 locations on rivers, creeks or streams in Iowa, eastern Nebraska, southeastern South Dakota, southwestern Wisconsin and northwestern Illinois experienced major flooding. Most of these rivers will continue to rise as snowmelt makes it into riverways, including the Mississippi and Missouri watersheds. Ice jams will also cause flooding as melting ice on some rivers is breaking up and later jamming downstream.

As Buffs, we want to do our part to help our neighbors in these states.  We have partnered with the Red Cross to raise awareness and help inspire others to donate to this effort around our spring football game.
