Buffs Set To Play In Pac-12 Tournament

BOULDER – The No. 22 University of Colorado Buffaloes will open up play in the semifinals at the Pac-12 Lacrosse Tournament Friday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. MT. at Papé Field in Eugene, Ore.

Colorado will face the winner of the Stanford/Oregon game, which will be played Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. MT. The Buffs split the season series this year against the Cardinal and swept the series against the Ducks. SU is currently ranked 20th in the IWLCA poll and is 12-4 overall (7-3 Pac-12). UO finished the regular season with a 3-14 record (1-9 Pac-12).

HOW TO WATCH: All five tournament games will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks. Live stats, as well as a link to the broadcast stream, are available at https://buffs.me/2V9U0pu. Jason Knapp is the play-by-play announcer and Kara Lentz will provide the color.

ABOUT THE BUFFS: The Buffs are 9-6 overall and are 8-2 in Pac-12 Conference play. They are currently ranked 22nd in the IWLCA poll.

Senior Miranda Stinson leads the Pac-12 in goals (53) and is second in points (66). She is the leader in both categories in conference games played with 44 goals and 52 points. Nationally, she ranks 18th in goals and 39th in points. She is averaging the fifth best NCAA mark in shots per game (8.60), and is eighth in shots on goal per game (6.13).

Another senior, Samantha Nemirov, is second on the team with 41 goals, which ranks third in the conference. There are three other Buffs with at least 10 goals this season: Sadie Grozier (27), Charlie Rudy (19) and Sophie Castillo (17). Stinson is the team leader in draw controls with 48, while Kate Burnside is second (45).

Julia Lisella has started in 14 games for the Buffs and has an 8-6 record on the year. She is allowing 9.18 goals against, which is 11th in the NCAA, and has a .482 save percentage, which is 23rd in the NCAA. The Buffs have forced 157 opponent turnovers, which is second in the Pac-12, 23rd in the NCAA. Stinson again leads the team with 22 caused turnovers, while Olivia Aschman is second with 17. Anna Collawn is third with 14. Â
