SENIOR (2019): In Nemirov’s final season, her role once again increased. She started in all 19 games and ranked second on the team with 51 goals and 15 assists. She was 13-31 on free-position attempts (.419), which was the best mark on the team. In the nation, she ranked 58th in goals, 62nd in goals per game (2.68), 41st in shots per game (6.53), 60th in shots on goal per game (4.47), 84th in points (66) and 100th in points per game (3.47). Her numbers were very high in conference too. She was second in free-position goals per game, third in goals per game, third in shots per game, fourth in points per game and 10th in assists per game. She recorded at least three or more goals in 10 games and in three of those, she recorded five or more. Nemirov scored a career-high seven goals in CU’s 20-13 win at No. 15 Stanford. At the time, it tied the school record. She was a perfect 3-3 on free-position attempts and converted on all seven of her shots on goal. Nemirov also had 14 ground balls and nine caused turnovers during the season. Nemirov finished her career with the CU record for most consecutive games with at least one point; she scored a point in 39 straight contests. She received the recognition she deserved for the season as she was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team, Pac-12 All-Tournament Team, IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region Second Team and IWLCA Senior All-Star Team. Nemirov also earned academic honors as she was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention team and the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.

JUNIOR (2018): Nemirov’s role on the team increased again as a junior as she played in all 20 games. She ranked third on the team with 39 goals and added nine assists for 48 points and also converted on 11 of 25 free-position attempts (44.0%). Nemirov recorded at least one point in every game during the season, starting with a four-point performance in the season opener against Michigan (Feb. 9). She recorded her first career hat-trick while adding an assist, in addition to causing one turnover. She was named the CU Athlete of the Week on March 28 after guiding CU to a 14-9 win against Oregon. Nemirov tallied six goals on 10 shots, seven of which were on goal, while adding an assist for seven points. In that game, she also converted on both of her free-position attempts. Her six goals were tied for the fourth-most in CU history in a single game. An excellent student, she was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention Team.

SOPHOMORE (2017): In her sophomore year, Nemirov adopted a larger role on Colorado’s attack. She played in 15 games where she tallied seven goals, two groundballs and one caused turnover. Out of 19 shots, she placed 14 on goal. Her first goal of the season was against Massachusetts on Feb. 17, assisting the Buffs to their second victory against a ranked opponent. She scored another goal off a free position and had a groundball in the win over Stetson on Feb. 19. Nemirov continued her point streak against UC Davis on Feb. 26, when she scored two goals with one-off a free position. The sophomore recorded two goals in the 19-6 win over Fresno State on March 25; then caused one turnover and picked up a groundball in the next game against Delaware to help the Buffs achieve an 11-game winning streak. Nemirov was named to the MPSF All-Academic Team.

FRESHMAN (2016): Nemirov saw action in seven games as a reserve attacker as a freshman, scoring two goals and adding three assists for five points. She attempted two shots and had two caused turnovers. Nemirov caused a turnover in her first career appearance, a 15-3 win over Central Connecticut on March 5. She recorded her first two career assists and caused a turnover in a 16-3 win over San Diego State on April 10. She had three points with two goals and an assist in a 23-0 win over Saint Mary’s (Calif.) on April 15.

HIGH SCHOOL: Nemirov earned three letters playing lacrosse at Ward Melville High School in Setauket, New York. In addition to lacrosse, she earned four letters on the field hockey team and in her junior year, she was named all-division for both lacrosse and hockey. Her senior year, she was all-county in both lacrosse and field hockey. As a senior on the lacrosse team, she finished with 68 points, 32 goals and 36 assists.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Nemirov is majoring in psychology.

PERSONAL: Samantha Nemirov was born in Setauket, N.Y. on March 21, 1997. She enjoys snowboarding and going to the beach. Her older brothers, David and Danny Nemirov, both played lacrosse at Bowdoin College and Cornell University, respectively. After graduation, Nemirov would like to pursue a career in health sciences.Â
