BOULDER — University of Colorado sophomore-to-be Malak Bouraeda is heading to Puidoux, Switzerland, to compete at the Lavaux Ladies Championship, May 29-31.

Bouraeda will compete in the amateur part of the event and will represent Morocco, where she has dual citizenship.

"I am excited for Malak to play in a big international event," head coach Anne Kelly said. "It will be a great experience and will help her to continue to develop as a competitive golfer."

During her freshman season, she averaged a 76.15 stroke average through 33 rounds. In the spring, she played 18 rounds and recorded a 75.72 average, improving from her 76.67 fall average. She recorded a runner-up finish at the Rebel/Beach Invitational, carding an even 216 (74-71-71), which was also the best round of her season.
