Fan Information For Rocky Mountain Showdown

BOULDER – Colorado's football team opens the season on Friday at Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver in the Rocky Mountain Showdown vs. in-state rival Colorado State. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. on ESPN.
Fans are encouraged to pay attention to traffic and parking information. Expect heavy traffic so arrive to the stadium early.
Here is everything Buffs fans attending the game need to know:
Student Tickets
Students will have their tickets delivered electronically Thursday evening and throughout Friday afternoon. If you bought a CU Sports Pass and do not receive your mobile ticket by 3 p.m., please visit the box office at Broncos Stadium at Mile High located near Gate 10 with your ID. Student ticket sales will be paused from noon to 4 p.m. and will resume at the box office at that time until we are sold out of CU Sports Passes.
Pearl Street Stampede (Thursday Night)
The Pearl Street Stampede pep rally is back this fall. Occurring every night before a football game, the event will start at 7 p.m. in front of the county courthouse and move west along Pearl Street to the Pearl Street Mall. This week's Stampede will be Thursday night.
Led by Stephen Tebo's vintage 1948 fire truck, come see members of the CU Football Team, Golden Buffalo Marching Band, the Spirit Squad and other special guests before home football games at the Pearl Street Stampede.
Fan Attire
C-Unit is pushing for all CU students to wear black.
Mile High Stadium Policies
The stadium's clear bag policy and metal detectors will be enforced and in effect. Premium gates open at 6 p.m. and public gates open at 6:30 p.m. Students should enter through Gate 9.
Parking And Tailgating
Parking information is available in the linked PDF. Lots E, D, C, Z and Z-O are all CU's official permitted parking lots and all of those lots will open at 4 p.m. for tailgating. Game day parking will cost between $25-$30 in Lots M, N and R and fans can pay with cash or credit. Those are expected to be sold out by 5 p.m. and if you are parking after 5 p.m. without a permit, parking is available at Pepsi Center and the Auraria Campus.
For those with permits, please follow the routes identified on the back of your permit and have it visible when approaching the lot to keep traffic moving as efficiently as possible.
Prohibited items during tailgating:
Ralphie Appearances/CU Alumni Tailgate
CU's live mascot Ralphie will be Lot C at the alumni tailgate from 5 p.m. to 6:20 and CU's spirit team will arrive around 6:30 to the alumni tailgate.
Student Tickets And Transportation
Student tickets will be sent through mobile devices. Students must have their valid BuffOne card for admission to the game and to the bus.
Student buses will leave Regent Drive at 4 p.m. and will return after the game. Availability is first-come, first-serve. Look for the Buff Bus or Ace Express. Backpacks will NOT be permitted as Broncos Stadium at Mile High strictly enforces the clear bag policy.
The student entrance to Mile High Stadium is Gate 9.
Public Transportation
RTD will provide bus and rail service to and from Broncos Stadium at Mile High for the Rocky Mountain Showdown with more transit options than ever. Fans will have direct service to and from the game with bus service from several locations in the metro area, the Federal Shuttle or the C, E and W rail lines. Those lines are also a short trip from Union Station for fans traveling from areas away from those lines.
