Fleckenstein, Tommy and Young Win RMISA Weekly Honors

DENVER—Three members of the Colorado Ski Team earned RMISA Skier if the Week honors over the first two weeks of the season, the league announced Tuesday.Â
Stef Fleckenstein was given the honor for the Denver Invitational, Mikaela Tommy for the Colorado Invitational and Joey Young for the first set of RMISA Qualifiers that spanned both meets. Â
The honor is given to the skier with the best combined finish in the two races.  Fleckenstein won the slalom race and finished fifth in the giant slalom race in Aspen for the DU Invitational.  Tommy won the GS and was third in the slalom race at the CU Invitational. Young was fourth in the GS qualifier that took place before the DU Invitational and won the slalom race that took place after the CU Invitation had concluded. Â
The Buffs Nordic teams remain in action this weekend in the DU Invitational, set for Saturday and Sunday at Maloit Park in Minturn, Colo., near Vail.Â
