Saturday’s Game Against Washington State Postponed

December 04, 2020 | Men's Basketball

BOULDER – The University of Colorado men's basketball game against Washington State originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, has been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 protocols within the Cougars' men's basketball program.

The schools and the conference are currently working to find a mutually agreeable date to reschedule the contest.

"Speaking with the conference and Washington State, we agree that this is the best decision to ensure the health and safety of our student-athletes, staff and community," CU Athletic Director Rick George said.

The Buffaloes had temporarily paused operations on Tuesday, which forced the postponement of their game at Arizona. Colorado was able to resume practice on Thursday with the approval of the school's medical staff and campus health officials after two days of successful tracing and testing. The Buffaloes, 2-0 overall, are scheduled to host Colorado School of Mines on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m.
