Buffs Ranked 24th In IWLCA Poll

BOULDER — Despite being idle last week, the Colorado lacrosse team moved down to 24th in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I Poll.

The Buffaloes (1-2) are set to open Pac-12 Conference play this Friday, March 6, against Oregon (1-4) at 2 p.m. They will also host Coastal Carolina (2-1) on Sunday, March 8, at 12 p.m. Both contests will be played at Kittredge Field.

North Carolina continues to be the top-ranked team in the IWLCA poll, collecting all 25 first-place votes for 625 points and Notre Dame stayed at second for the third straight week with 569 points. Syracuse moved up from fourth to third (561) and Loyola also moved up one spot from fifth to fourth. Florida rounds out the top five after jumping up three spots. Â

The Pac-12 Conference continues to have three teams in the IWLCA top-25 with Southern California leading the way at eighth. Right behind the Buffs (24th) is Stanford at 25th. CU is also receiving votes in the Maverik Division I Media Poll.
