Five Buffs Named To NFF Hampshire Society

BOULDER — Five University of Colorado senior football players have been named as members of the 2020 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, recognizing those who have completed their eligibility with at least a cumulative 3.2 grade point average.
Safety Lucas Cooper, tight end Jalen Harris, punter Alex Kinney, center Tim Lynott Jr. and placekicker Davis Price are the latest Buffaloes to earn their way to becoming Hampshire Society members. All but Price have earned their degrees, with Price on schedule to graduate next month.
Cooper and Lynott majored Strategic Communication, Harris in Educational Foundations, Policies and Practices and Kinney in Business Management; Kinney and Lynott are taking graduate courses in Organizational Leadership. Price is majoring in Journalism.
Colorado is one of 29 colleges and universities have had at least one player in all 14 years of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society (2007-20), and one of just eight on the FBS level; CU is joined by Brigham Young, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Penn State, SMU and West Virginia. In the 2020 class, only Oregon (eight players) had more than Colorado named to the team (Oregon State also had five).
