Weekly Calendar: Soccer And Cross Country Set To Begin Season

BOULDER- The soccer and cross country programs will highlight this week for the Buffs when they make their highly anticipated starts to the new season.
The soccer program will kick off its season on Saturday against Denver, about five months later than usual. The Buffs last played in 2019 when they made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Cross country will head to Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday for their first competition of the year in the FSU Winter Cross Country Classic.
Football will introduce its newest members of Buffs on Wednesday with their February Signing Day.
Both basketball programs will look to bounce back from a week that included tough home losses. The women's basketball team will head to Northern California where they will play Stanford on Friday and California on Sunday. The men's basketball team will play host to the Arizona schools, first with Arizona State on Thursday and then Arizona on Saturday.
Skiing will continue in the Colorado Spencer James Nelson Memorial Invitational in Aspen with the Freestyle Sprint on Friday and the 5/10K Classic on Saturday.
Volleyball will take on California two times, first on Friday and then again on Sunday, a week after getting their meetings with Stanford canceled.
Tennis returns home to play Utah State on Sunday.
