Ewert, Rudy And Track Record Book Holders Win CU Athletes Of The Week, Presented By Arrow

BOULDER- Avery McMullen (Outdoor Track and Field), Charlie Rudy (Lacrosse), Dominique Williams (Outdoor Track and Field), and Jenna Ewert (Volleyball) are the CU Athletes of the Week, presented by Arrow.
McMullen finished third in the long jump at the CSU-Pueblo Spank Blasing on her way to entering CU's record books. McMullen soared 5.90 meters (19-04.25) which landed her seventh all-time in CU history. McMullen also finished third in the 200-meters with a time of 25.15.
Rudy was unguardable last week for the Buffs in totalling 18 goals. She started the week off with a seven goal performance in a victory over California at Kittredge Field. Against USC on the road, Rudy had an easy four goals on only five shots in a loss to the Trojans. To cap off the week at Arizona State, Rudy found the back of the net seven more times and added an assist in the loss.
Williams joined his teammate McMullen in making history at the CSU-Pueblo Spank Blasing last weekend. Williams placed third in the men's hammer with a toss of 58.94 meters (193-04) which puts him sixth all-time in CU history.
Ewert led the Buffs to an impressive weekend sweep over Arizona State last week. The setter filled the stat sheet in a 3-2 win on Friday going for 22 assists, 11 digs, and five huge aces. On Sunday to close out the sweep, the junior had 14 assists and a pair of aces in a 3-0 win.
