Weekly Calendar: Buffs Head To NCAA Championships

BOULDER- NCAA Championships for indoor track and field and skiing highlight an exciting week of Colorado athletics.

Sage Hurta will represent the Colorado indoor track and field program at the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. this week. Hurta will compete in the women's mile, with the prelims raced on Friday followed by the finals on Saturday.

Skiing will send a 12-skier unit to the NCAA Championships this week in Franconia, N.H. The week will be kicked off with Giant Slalom on Wednesday, followed by 5/10K Classic on Thursday, Slalom on Friday, and 15/20K Freestyle on Saturday.

Cassidy Gray, Emma Hammergaard, Stef Fleckenstein, Filip Forejtek, Joey Young, and Louis Fausa will race in the Nordic events on Thursday and Saturday.

Anna-Maria Dietze, Ezra Smith, Weronika Kaleta, Magnus Boee, Oyvind Haugan, and Will Koch will compete in the alpine events on Wednesday and Friday.

Men's golf returns to the links as they head back to Southern California to play in the Lamkin Classic. The event, held at the San Diego Country Club, will take place Monday-Wednesday.

Women's golf also returns to action this week with a pair of tournaments in Arizona. They will kick things off with the Arizona Wildcat Invitational with the first two rounds being played on Monday and the final round coming on Tuesday at the Sewailo Golf Course. The Buffs will close the week with the Clover Cup on Friday-Sunday at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.

Men's basketball begins its postseason run with the Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday. The Buffs will have a first round bye and play on Thursday night in the second round against the winner of Stanford and California. The semifinals and finals of the tournament will be played on Friday and Saturday.

Soccer will host the Los Angeles schools this week, first with UCLA on Friday and then USC on Sunday.

Tennis heads to Oregon to play its lone match of the week on Friday.

Lacrosse starts its home weekend off with Oregon on Friday, followed by a meeting with San Diego State on Sunday.

Volleyball joins women's golf with a trip to Arizona to play the Wildcats in a pair of games on Friday and Sunday, as they look to build off of their win over No. 12 UCLA on Sunday.
