SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Colorado women's tennis team fell to No.54 Utah 4-1 here Saturday afternoon in the 2022 regular season finale.

The Buffaloes (8-13, 1-9 Pac-12) fell down 3-0 to the Utes (14-10, 3-7 Pac-12) but were setting up an epic comeback forcing the final three matches to third sets.

Caroline Pozo was the lone winner today, picking up her third-straight singles win. In the No.2 singles match against Emily Dush, Pozo picked up the first set in a tiebreaker 7(4)-6. She picked up the win with a 6-4 second set to keep hopes alive for the comeback.

Megan Forster, Maria Campos and Betina Tokac all were in a third set when the team was down 3-1. The clinching match came as Campos fell to Anastasia Goncharova in the No.3 singles match 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.

Forster was down 2-1 in the third set when the match was clinched after coming back to win the second set 7-5. Tokac was up 5-3 after trading 6-3 sets.

Colorado started the match dropping the doubles points with a 6-2 loss in the No.2 match with Campos and Mila Stanojevic playing and Tokac and Ellen Puzak falling in the No.3 match 6-1.

Utah's Madison Tattini picked up the first singles win in the No.5 match against Stanojevic 6-4, 6-1. The setup match came as No.119 Linda Huang defeated Antonia Balzert in the No.1 singles match 6-3, 7(5)-6.

The Buffaloes will travel to California for the 2022 Pac-12 Championship beginning Wednesday. Colorado will be the 11th-seed in the tournament and play the sixth-seed Oregon.
