Colorado wins five matches between doubles and singles.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team bounced back in day two of the San Diego State Invitational at the Aztec Tennis Center on Saturday, winning five matches combined as a team in both doubles and singles.

After a disappointing first day in California, the Buffs returned to form early on starting in doubles play. For the first time this season our two juniors Mila Stanojevic and Betina Tokac took the courts as a duo. Against Lea Cakarevic and Mathilde Sarcelet from Nevada, they quickly took control early in route to a 6-2 win to start the day.
The other early win came once again from senior Aya El Sayed and freshman Pia Rebec against Boise State's Pauline Ernstberger and Shauna Heffernan. This is the second time that El Sayed took on Ernstberger after defeating her 6-2, 7-6 (2) in singles Friday. Much like the first time, the result was a convincing victory for the Buffs, winning 6-1.

Colorado would win two of the four doubles matches of day two.

As the day moved to singles play the Buffs continued their bounce back day taking three of the eight matches played. What comes as no surprise, El Sayed won another singles match in straight sets, this time over San Diego State's Gloria Alogo. From the first serve she commanded the court to a score of 6-3, 6-2.

Two other Buffs Stanojevic and Tokac, got their first singles win of the weekend. Tokac came back after dropping the first set 2-6, to win the second and third set 6-3, 10-6 to win the match. For Stanojevic after winning the first set 6-2 against Marlene Foerster from Nevada, but she was forced to retire due to injury ending the match after only one set.
