SET ONE: Colorado jumped to an early lead of 7-4, however, the Sun Devils caught up to take the lead at 9-8 after a 3-0 scoring run. After a four point deficit for the Buffs at 13-9, three consecutive kills from Tabron brought the Buffs back within a point at 13-12. Colorado managed to pull ahead to an 18-17 lead to force an ASU timeout. Another 3-0 scoring run gave Colorado the lead at 21-19 off of Tabron's fourth kill of the match. The Buffs held on to take set one 25-21.

SET TWO: Tabron earned her 1,000th career kill to stay within one of ASU at 2-1. Colorado fought back from a three point deficit early on at 4-1 to take over the lead at 7-6 off of a kill from Ana Burilović. She quickly turned around with another kill to keep the lead alive at 8-7. Arizona State then went on a 4-0 scoring run, giving them the advantage at 11-8; however, the Buffs responded with a 4-0 scoring run with kills from Burilović and Payne to tie things up at 16-16, forcing an ASU timeout. Colorado did not stop there, increasing their scoring run to 8-0 and pulling ahead to 18-16. The Sun Devils responded and took the lead at 21-20; however, Colorado was unable to fight back as ASU took set two 25-21.

SET THREE: The Buffs were in control early on at 3-0, and Simpon's third kill of the match kept the lead alive at 8-5. ASU got back in control, taking the lead for the first time in set three at 13-12, forcing a timeout by Colorado. The Sun Devils held onto their lead until CU went on a 4-0 scoring run and a kill from Tabron gave CU the late advantage at 19-18. The Buffs continued to battle but ultimately dropped the set at 25-21.

SET FOUR: Arizona State took over the lead as Colorado trailed 7-5. Tabron continued to lead the Buffs in kills, earning her 12th one for CU to trail 8-7. The Buffs fought hard but ASU ultimately held onto their lead for the remainder of set four, as Colorado fell 25-16.
