Buffs Announce 2024 Schedule

BOULDER - The University of Colorado women's lacrosse team released their 2024 regular season schedule today. This season marks Colorado's final season in the Pac 12 before moving to the Big 12 in 2025.

The Buffs will begin their season with a home game against Louisville on February 11, one of seven competitive fixtures that CU will play before beginning conference play against Stanford at home in March. CU will also host Northwestern, the 2023 National Champions, before moving into conference play.

"We are looking forward to the 2024 schedule," commented head coach Ann Elliott Whidden. "It will be another challenge for us, and our goal is to get off to a quicker start than last year. We have great non-conference games; the type of games we want on our schedule and believe we can compete in. Our staff will be focused on making sure we are more than prepared for the opportunity these games present."

Colorado will host four conference games at Kittredge field this season: Stanford (Mar. 15), San Diego St. (Mar. 30), Arizona St. (Apr. 12) and Oregon (Apr. 27). It's San Diego State's first year as a part of the Pac 12 conference. UC Davis also joined the Pac 12 for the first time this season, and the Buffs will face them on the road on April 6.

"We are looking forward to our new Pac12 schedule where we play each team once and add SDSU and UC Davis. These are going to be great opportunities and not having a guaranteed opportunity to play a team a second time will make each game more significant for us," said Whidden. "We have to be able to win on the road and at home because we won't get that other chance."

The Buffs will play their final regular season game under the lights at Prentup Field. Once CU wraps up their regular season, the squad will travel to Los Angeles to compete at USC in the Pac 12 Tournament for a chance to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

"This is an exciting year for us. We look forward to the great support of the CU, Boulder and Colorado lacrosse communities as we set our goals high for this season," Whidden concluded.
