Dak Signs With Colorado For 2023-24 Season

BOULDER – Bangot Dak has signed a financial aid agreement to continue his education at the University of Colorado and join the men's basketball team for the 2023-24 season, head coach Tad Boyle announced on Friday.
Dak is a 6-foot-9, 180-pound forward, out of Lincoln (Neb.) Southeast High School. He was originally set to take a prep school year at Sunrise Christian Academy, but opted to join the Buffaloes immediately.
"We are extremely excited about the signing of Bangot," Boyle said. "He is a high character young man from a great family. He has tremendous upside and is a very skilled player for his size. He can affect the game on both sides of the ball with his length. Bangot will be a terrific Buff before it is all said and done."
Dak averaged 11.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game as a senior, leading the Knights to the quarterfinals of the Nebraska Class A State Tournament. He had 12 double-doubles (in 26 games), including a 17-point, 10-rebound effort in the state quarterfinals against Gretna, the Knights' first state tournament game in nine years.
A Class A All-State honorable mention selection, Dak ranked as the second-best rebounder and shot blocker in the state's largest school division. He was named to the Lincoln Journal Star All-City and Super State teams.
