Exciting Buffs Are 8-1 As They Wrap Up Non-Conference Play and Gear Up For The Big 12

Despite snow on the ground and a winter chill in the air, the University of Colorado men's basketball team is off to a red-hot start, compiling an 8-1 record in their first nine games while putting a scintillating product on the floor.

Early returns show a Buffs team that can score, as Colorado ranks fourth in a loaded Big 12 Conference by averaging 88.4 points a game. The Buffaloes are led by sensational freshman guard Isaiah Johnson, who is averaging over 15 points per game and returning forward Sebastian Rancik who has added 13 points per game of his own.

After recovering from knee surgery, forward Bangot Dak is establishing himself as a force in the paint, earning MVP honors at the Acrisure Holiday Classic over Thanksgiving week after recording his first career double-double (15 points / 11 rebounds) in the Buffs tournament title-winning game against Washington.

The high-flying Buffaloes will wrap up their non-conference home slate with games against UTSA, Portland State, and Northern Colorado at the CU Events Center before the Big 12 schedule beckons.

Colorado's first Big 12 home game will be against Utah on January 7, starting a conference home slate that includes Texas Tech on January 10, Kansas on January 20, and Arizona on March 7 at the CU Events Center.  Single game tickets, group tickets, and mini-plans for all men's basketball home games are on-sale now.
