Buffaloes Trio Named To NABC Honors Court

BOULDER – University of Colorado's Tristan da Silva, Jalen Gabbidon and Ethan Wright were named to the 2022-23 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, representing their outstanding achievement in the classroom.
Over 1,800 individuals from all levels of college basketball were recognized on the NABC Honors Court which includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball student-athletes who finished the 2022-23 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Da Silva, a rising senior from Munich, Germany, is Colorado's active leader in scoring with 912 points, ranking 45th on CU's all-time list. A 6-foot-9-inch, 229-pound forward, he led the Buffaloes at 15.9 points per game on 50 percent shooting as a junior, earning All-Pac-12 Conference First Team Honors. A two-time Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll member, da Silva is majoring in Business/Accounting.
Gabbidon, a 6-5, 195-pound guard from Harrisburg, Pa., averaged 4.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in 27 games during his lone season at Colorado. He earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Yale in 2022 and is pursuing a master's degree in Engineering Management at Colorado. Gabbidon was a two-year captain at Yale helping the Bulldogs to a pair of NCAA Tournaments.
Wright, a 6-3, 190-pound guard from Newton Centre, Mass., averaged 4.3 points and 2.1 rebounds and ranked third on the team in 3-pointers made (29) as a graduate transfer in 2022-23. He earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology from Princeton in 2022 and is pursuing a master's in Organizational Leadership at Colorado. Wright was an all-district and All-Ivy League selection for the Tigers in 2021-22.
