Former Buff Isaiah Oliver Advances to the Super Bowl with 49ers

Former standout defensive back for the Buffs, Isaiah Oliver, will play for the Lombardi as apart of the 49ers squad. It will mark the 38th Super Bowl in which at least one CU player has been involved.Â
This is the third straight season at least one Buff will be in the Super Bowl -) Chidobe Awuzie and Josh Tupou with the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI and Davion Taylor with the Eagles last year.
Isaiah will be the 67th CU player to play in the Super Bowl and this is the 97th appearance by a CU player. If the 49ers win, he'll be the 36th player to win a Super Bowl and the 56th win by CU players.
After spending the first five years of his career in Atlanta with the Falcons, Oliver joined San Francisco for the 2023 season, setting a career-high in games played with 17. He logged 67 total tackles, 3.5 TFL, and earned his third career interception in week two in a win over the Rams. Isaiah recorded two games with double-digit tackles, a feat he had not accomplished in his previous five season.Â
In his six seasons since he was drafted to the NFL, Oliver has accumulated up 270 tackles with 36 PDUs, 3 INTs, and two sacks in 79 career games.
