Becomes the fourth Buff to earn the honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Colorado junior Jordan Nytes was named Third Team All-America by the United Soccer Coaches on Friday. It is the second consecutive season the Buffaloes have been represented in the national honors.

Nytes becomes the first Colorado goalkeeper to earn All-American status. She joins teammate Shyra James (2023) and former Buffs Fran Munnelly (2004, 05) and Taylor Kornieck (2018, 19) as the only Buffs to earn All-America honors.

"What a fantastic honor for Jordi to be named an All-American," head coach Danny Sanchez expressed. "We have produced a number of fantastic goalkeepers here at Colorado, and she is the first All-American. I want to give a ton of credit to [Associate Head Coach] Jason [Green], who does nothing but produce big-time goalkeepers. We couldn't be more pleased to have Jordi as our captain and to lead our team next fall for her last season. She has even more she wants to accomplish, and we are excited for the 2025 season."

Nytes, the 2024 Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Year, was in net for all 11 of Colorado's shutouts this season, ranking second in the Big 12 and sixth in the NCAA. Her 11 clean sheets tied for the second-most in a season by a CU keeper. She took home five Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week awards throughout the season, becoming the most honored goalkeeper in a season since the award's inception in 2020.

The Aurora, Colo., native has helped captain the Buffs to 12 wins this season. She made a season-high 10 saves twice and finished the year second in the Big 12 with 101 total stops. She matched former Buff Jalen Tompkins' 2019 season, ranking fifth in single-season history in total saves and sixth in saves per game (4.59). Her .821 save% ranked second in the conference and she was fifth in the Big 12 in saves per game. Nytes set the program record for consecutive shutout minutes, posting a streak of 583:33 minutes of scoreless soccer.

The junior goalkeeper moved up the CU record book in several categories this season. She ranks fifth all-time at CU with 25 wins in her two seasons in Boulder. Nytes' 19 total shutouts place her tied for fourth in CU history. She also cracked the top 10 in career saves (8th, 174), goalkeeper starts (6th, 43), goalkeeper minutes (6th, 3,799), save % (4th, .813) and goals against average (4th, 0.95).
