Miller Signs Training Camp Contract with Seattle

SEATTLE — Colorado post player Quay Miller signed a training camp contract with her hometown Seattle Storm, the team announced on Monday.
"Quay has worked hard to become one of the most versatile forwards in the country and has proven to be a force both inside and out," Colorado head coach JR Payne expressed. "I am beyond proud of Quay for all she has accomplished and can't wait to see what's to come."
Miller rounds out the Storm's 16-player training camp roster. The Storm will open training camp on April 28, with a pair of preseason games scheduled for May 4 vs. Los Angeles in Edmonton and May 7 vs. Phoenix in Seattle.
The Renton, Wash., native earned Pac-12 honorable mention honors this season to go with her All-Conference selection in 2023. She led the Buffs this season with 7.4 rebounds per game and was eighth in the conference with 252 total boards. Miller started all 34 games this season, averaging 8.9 points per game while scoring double figures in 16 games.
Miller snagged a season-high 15 rebounds against Washington State and had 12 games with double-digit boards. Miller ranks 13th in program history with 712 rebounds at Colorado.
The 6-3 forward recorded 10 double-doubles this season and had 21 in her three seasons at CU. Miller led the Buffs in scoring 22 times this past season and scored in double figures in 74 of her 99 games as a Buff. She became the 35th player in CU history to record 1,000 points in the Black & Gold and finished her five-year career with 1,438 points.
Miller played in all 31 games in her first season as Buff, averaging 10.6 points off the bench and was named Pac-12 Sixth Player of the Year. She wrapped up her CU career, averaging 10.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
Miller helped Colorado to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments, including back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances in 2023 and 2024.
She played her first two seasons at Washington before transferring to CU at the start of the 2021-22 season.
