Coach Prime, Players Set For Big 12 Media Days Appearance Wednesday

LAS VEGAS — Colorado's Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders and four players will introduce themselves to the Big 12 on Wednesday when they appear at the conference's annual Media Days at Allegiant Stadium.

Joining Coach Prime will be two-way star Travis Hunter, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, safety Shilo Sanders and punter Mark Vassett.

The event opens Tuesday with coaches and players from eight teams on the interview docket, with another eight teams scheduled to make Wednesday appearances.

This year marks Colorado's return to the Big 12 after spending 13 years in the Pac-12. 

Coach Prime will hold his press conference at noon Wednesday (MT) on the field at Allegiant Stadium, then appear on ESPNU at 12:20 p.m. Shedeur Sanders will immediately follow Coach Prime's appearance on ESPNU.

All coaches' press conferences will be streamed directly on ESPN+ with the ESPNU interviews available on the station's broadcast and online. The ESPNU team will include Kris Budden, Brock Osweiler, Andre Ware and Hannah Wing.

The ESPNU coverage will air Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Conference commissioner Brett Yormark will open the event Tuesday with an 11 a.m. press conference.

While Colorado was picked to finish 11th in the league in the preseason media poll, Hunter was selected as the Big 12 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year while Sanders was voted as the first-team all-conference quarterback. 

Also selected to the league's all-conference team was CU defensive end B.J. Green II.
