January 22, 2025 | Lacrosse
SPARKS, Md. – Colorado lacrosse graduate attacker Madeline Pisani (Clarendon Hills, Ill./Hinsdale Central HS) received USA Lacrosse Division I Women's Preseason All-America Honorable Mention as voted on by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Pisani led the team and the Pac-12 in goals (62), points (75) and shots (127) in the 2024 regular season, and she ended the postseason leading the team in all three categories (67, 80, 138). She had two game winning goals in the 2024 season – one at Penn State (Feb. 16) and one at Saint Joseph's (Feb. 18). Pisani obtained Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week after these two performances (Feb. 20). In the 2024 season, she also recorded a career-high seven goals on 10 shots on goal against Oregon (Apr. 26), and she recorded three or more goals on 14 different occasions.
This is Pisani's second USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention selection. At the end of the 2024 season, Pisani earned USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention along with junior defender Jess Peluso (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip HS). Pisani was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team following the 2024 regular season.

Preseason All-Americans are compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with consultation from college coaches.
The 2025 season will be historic for the Big 12 as it marks the first ever lacrosse season for the conference. Colorado, Arizona State and Cincinnati will be joined by three affiliate teams in Florida, San Diego State and UC Davis to kick off a new era in the Big 12. The Colorado lacrosse team will open the spring campaign against two former Pac-12 foes in Stanford and USC on Feb. 13 and Feb. 16.
