Buffs Sign Ternström
BOULDER – The University of Colorado Buffaloes women's tennis team will welcome Louise Ternström after signing her National Letter of Intent, announced by head coach Anthony Pham Wednesday morning.
Ternström hails from Täby, Sweden, and will join the Buffs as a freshman in the fall of 2026. She currently plays for Näsbypark Tennisklubb and attends Tibble Gymnasium, the high school in her hometown.
"Excited to have Louise joining us next fall," said Pham, "we feel confident with having her. She's had a great junior career in Sweden, has really good coaching, and once she joins us, we are excited to elevate her game even more. She has a great work ethic, and we think she'll fit in really well with our team."
As stated by ITF Tennis, the Täby native is currently ranked at No. 5 for U18 in Sweden, winning three Juniors Singles Titles and two Doubles Titles in the last three years.
The future Buff has held the highest ITA Ranking of 386, 62 career wins in singles, and 35 in doubles. She is also Colorado's fourth Swedish commit, and the first since 1999.
