Family Weekend, Homecoming Dates Set For 2025 Football Season

BOULDER – Family Weekend and Homecoming games and dates have been set for the 2025 Colorado Football season, athletic director Rick George announced Friday.
Family Weekend will include CU's game against Wyoming on September 20 and Homecoming festivities will include the game against Arizona on November 1.
The Buffs and Cowboys have faced off 27 times, but just once this century. CU owns a 24-2-1 record against Wyoming, which is located approximately 90 miles north of Boulder. The last time the two faced each other was a 24-0 CU win in 2009.
Originally called Parents Weekend, a home football game has been included as part of the weekend festivities since 1992. CU is 21-9 in those games, including a 34-23 win over Cincinnati last season. In alignment with the New Student & Family Programs via CU's Division of Student Affairs, the weekend generally includes campus tours, open houses, the Pearl Street Stampede, a tailgate before the game and a 5K fun run on Sunday morning.
The Buffs knocked off the Wildcats 34-7 last season in Tucson, as this will be the 15th straight season the teams have squared off against each other. CU won the first 12 games in the series from 1931-85 and has won three of the last five dating back to the 2020 season.
The 110th Homecoming game, the tradition began in 1914 and CU holds a 66-36-5 record, including a 38-31 overtime thriller over Baylor last season. Other signature events at Homecoming are the Alumni Awards, various tailgates, the Homecoming Stampede Parade and Buffs on Tap at the Koenig Alumni Center.
