CU Women’s Soccer to Celebrate 30th Anniversary This Fall
March 27, 2026 | Soccer
Celebration to Include Commemorative Logo, New Wall of Honor, Reunions, and More!
The University of Colorado's women's soccer team will commemorate three decades of excellence with a season-long celebration that recognizes the program's rich history as well as its exciting present and future.
To kick off the celebration, the team has unveiled a special commemorative logo that will be included on player uniform patches as well as on merchandise available to fans all season long.
A new Colorado Soccer Wall of Honor will also be created at Prentup Field, paying tribute to the legendary players who have represented CU and who will be recognized at various home games throughout the 2026 campaign.
"The 30th anniversary of CU Soccer is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate all the players who laid the foundation that has helped our program become what it is today," said Head Coach Danny Sanchez. "We have a rich soccer tradition at Colorado and this anniversary celebration is a great reminder of how special the last three decades have been and also how this program is poised for a great future."
Former players will be invited back for a special reunion weekend when the soccer team takes on Denver University on Sept. 11, followed by recognition at the first home football game of the season on Sept. 12. More 30th Anniversary festivities, including fan engagement opportunities, will be announced in the near future. It's a big year for milestones at CU Boulder, as the university is also celebrating its 150th anniversary with events and activities throughout the year.
The 2026 Colorado soccer season begins on August 12 against Colorado State at Prentup Field, as the Buffs look to build off last year's NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. Colorado will play a spring exhibition match against the Rams on Sunday, March 29 at 1 p.m. at Prentup Field. Admission is free but the public is encouraged to bring their own portable chairs as seating will be limited.
In addition to all the momentum generated on the field, there are also exciting improvements to Prentup Field that will be announced soon.
