BOULDER — The Colorado Buffaloes Soccer Team captured the Colorado Cup title on Sunday at Prentup Field, posting three shutout victories to claim the spring tournament crown.

Colorado opened the day with a 2-0 win over UCCS behind goals from Emma Thielbahr and Jace Holley. The Buffaloes followed with a 1-0 victory against Colorado College, with Ava Priest providing the lone goal to secure a spot in the championship match.

In the final, Colorado defeated Air Force, 2-0, to secure the title. Thielbahr added her second goal of the day, while Sami Fisher also found the back of the net in the win.

"It was a beautiful day in Boulder for soccer," head coach Danny Sanchez said. "The Colorado Cup is always a great time with teams from all over the state. We are pleased to lift the trophy again."

Goalkeepers Jamie Campbell and Brooke Goerish split time in net throughout the day, combining three shutouts as the Buffaloes did not concede a goal in the tournament.

Colorado has now won the Colorado Cup in each of the last five contested seasons.
