The Buffs open conference play at home in September versus Utah and Arizona
IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced the upcoming 2026 conference volleyball schedule, including Colorado's, on Thursday, April 16. CU will play 18 matches in the 2026 Big 12 season.
Colorado will come off a competitive spring schedule, looking to launch straight into the fall season. The Buffs will open conference play at home for the first time since returning to the Big 12 on Sept. 25 and 27, hosting former Pac-12 rivals Utah and Arizona. CU is 20-20 (.500) in conference openers all-time.
Colorado will spend most of its time on the road in October, starting off with a road trip to TCU and Baylor on Oct. 2 and 4. The following week, the Buffs will split away and home, taking on Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz., on Oct. 9, and competing with Kansas State on Oct. 11 back at the CU Events Center. CU will then go back on the road for back-to-back weeks at Iowa State (Oct. 15) and BYU (Oct. 22), before meeting the Utes again on their turf (Oct. 25). The Black and Gold wrap up October and begin November back in Boulder against Cincinnati (Oct. 29) and Texas Tech (Nov. 1).
During the first full week in November, the Buffs will host BYU (Nov. 5) before heading to West Virginia on Nov. 8. CU then hosts two in a row versus Kansas (Nov. 12) and Baylor (Nov. 15). Back on the road the following week, Colorado meets with Houston (Nov. 20) and UCF (Nov. 22), before wrapping up the conference season versus Iowa State at home after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27).
The 2026 volleyball season marks the program's 40th anniversary, and Colorado will host celebrations throughout the fall. Fans can look forward to themed giveaways and promotions this season, with more details to be announced at a later date. The Buffs' nonconference schedule will be released in the upcoming months.
