Big 12 Announces Television, Kickoff Times For Three Colorado Games

BOULDER — The Big 12 Conference and its television partners announced kickoff times and television designations Wednesday for three Colorado football games, completing the initial television selections for the Buffaloes' non-conference slate.
Colorado's home opener against Weber State on Saturday, Sept. 12, will kickoff at 1:30 p.m. MT at Folsom Field and air on ESPN+. One week later, the Buffaloes will travel to Northwestern for a 5:30 p.m. MT kickoff in Evanston, Ill., with the game slated to air on either FOX or FS1.
Additionally, Colorado's previously announced Friday night game against Houston on Nov. 13 will kickoff at 8:15 p.m. MT and be nationally televised on ESPN.
The announcements come two weeks after ESPN revealed during the annual Disney Upfront presentations that Colorado's season opener at Georgia Tech on Thursday, Sept. 3, will kickoff at 6 p.m. MT and air nationally on ESPN.
With the announcements, Colorado will have three nationally selected television windows among its first four selected games, continuing the Buffaloes' strong national television presence under Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders. Colorado's game at Northwestern will mark the 24th time in the Buffaloes' last 27 games that CU has been selected for either the flagship ESPN channel or one of the major broadcast networks — ABC, FOX, CBS, NBC or TNT.
The Northwestern game will mark Colorado's first trip to Evanston in 75 years. The Weber State matchup will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools, while Houston's Nov. 13 visit will mark the Cougars' first trip to Boulder.
The remaining eight kickoff times and television selections for Colorado's 2026 schedule will be announced by the Big 12 Conference and its television partners either 12 days or six days prior to each game. Check out more information about how TV and times are selected the remainder of the season.Â
