BOULDER — Eight University of Colorado student-athletes have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team, CSC announced Wednesday.
Representing Colorado were skiers Louison Accambray, Tilde Baangman, Astri Lunde, Cathinka Lunder and Luka Riley, golfer Jackson Rivera and lacrosse players Elena Oh and Mack Hanlon.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes student-athletes for their combined accomplishments in competition and in the classroom.
Colorado's ski contingent was highlighted by Accambray, who completed one of the most dominant seasons in program history. The RMISA Women's Giant Slalom MVP repeated the honor for the second straight season, becoming the first repeat women's alpine MVP since Lucie Zikova won three consecutive honors from 2006-08. Accambray finished all 15 races she entered on the podium, setting a Colorado women's alpine record. She won six races, including five giant slalom victories, and added a runner-up finish in giant slalom at the NCAA Championships.
Baangman earned RMISA Women's Freestyle MVP honors after winning two of four freestyle races and finishing third and fourth in the other two. She accumulated 145 NCAA qualification points, more than 45 ahead of the next closest skier, and was the only RMISA competitor to finish in the top 10 of all four freestyle races. She capped her season by earning first-team All-America honors at the NCAA Championships.
Lunde put together a consistent campaign, finishing all 10 races she entered. Nine of those finishes were in the top 10, including an All-America performance at the NCAA Championships. She recorded five top-five finishes, four podium appearances and finished no lower than eighth place in any race she completed.
Lunder earned second-team All-America honors after finishing 13 of 16 races on the season. She recorded 11 top-20 finishes, including seven top-10 performances and three top-five results.
Riley, an engineering major who owns a perfect 4.0 grade point average, finished all 11 races he entered and placed in the top 20 in each one. He recorded three top-10 finishes during the season and owns 25 career top-20 finishes, seven top-10 results and one top-five finish.
Rivera earned the honor after a strong first season with the Buffaloes following his transfer from Southern California. He posted a 71.27 stroke average during the fall season and averaged 69.5 strokes over his final eight rounds. Rivera recorded two top-15 finishes and tied a Colorado record with 18 pars in a single round at New Mexico's Tucker Invitational.
Oh continued her record-setting season in goal for Colorado lacrosse, posting all 16 victories for the Buffaloes while setting the program's single-season wins record. She led both the Big 12 Conference and the nation with a 6.89 goals-against average, earned seven Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week honors and became the first player in program history to be named Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Year. She was also a unanimous All-Big 12 selection.
Hanlon earned her first career All-Big 12 honor after helping anchor Colorado's defense. She ranked third on the team and sixth in the conference with 22 caused turnovers while adding 22 ground balls and two draw controls.
Academic All-America selections will be announced later this summer.
