June 03, 2026 | Soccer
BOULDER — The Colorado Buffaloes Soccer program has added incoming freshman Hannah Healy from Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland, head coach Danny Sanchez announced Monday.
Healy is a 5-8 midfielder who joins the Buffs after competing for Bohemian Women's FC from 2024-26. Prior to joining Bohemian, she played for Shelbourne Women's, Shelbourne U17 and Glebe North FC.
"Hannah is a true playmaker in the midfield," Sanchez said. "She has extensive experience in the League of Ireland Women's Premier Division. Hannah has been an impact player for the Irish Youth National Teams and we are excited she will be joining us in Boulder this summer."
During her club career, Healy helped her teams capture two Women's Under-17 League of Ireland championships (2022, 2023), two Women's Under-17 FAI Cup titles (2022, 2023), the Women's Under-19 FAI Cup in 2024 and the Women's FAI Cup in 2024.
Healy has extensive experience with the Irish National Team program, representing Ireland at the U15, U16, U17 and U19 levels. She was captain of the Ireland U15 team and was named Ireland U15 Player of the Year.
Her international honors also include being named Player of the Tournament while helping Ireland win the Bob Docherty Cup, winning the UEFA Development Tournament and SuperCup NI, qualifying for the 2024 UEFA European Finals and earning six Player of the Match awards. Ireland also qualified for the UEFA European Elite Phase four times during her youth international career.
Healy graduated from Holy Faith Clontarf in 2026, where she played both soccer and Gaelic football. She was named the school's Sportsperson of the Year and Soccer Player of the Year while serving as captain of the soccer team and helping the school win the North Leinster championship.
She plans to major in business at Colorado and chose the Buffs because of the soccer program, coaching staff, academics and the Boulder area.
