Annual Colorado Football, Boulder Chamber Kickoff Luncheon Scheduled For August 28

Boulder, CO – The 2026 Colorado Buffaloes football season will officially launch on Friday, August 28, with the 37th annual Kickoff Luncheon, presented by the University of Colorado Athletic Department and the Boulder Chamber. This will be the first opportunity for the public to meet the 2026 team and hear from head coach Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders about the season.
The Kickoff Luncheon will be held in the Ford Practice Facility, located on the University of Colorado Boulder campus, and will include a program featuring Coach Prime, Athletic Director Fernando Lovo, Boulder Chamber President/CEO John Tayer, and CU football coaches and players. Chip, the CU Spirit Squad, and the CU Golden Buffaloes marching band will also be on hand to get everyone excited about the upcoming season. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the program starts at 1 p.m.

Colorado begins the 2026 football campaign with a prime-time, nationally televised match-up at Georgia Tech on Thursday, September 3 before returning to Boulder for the home opener against Weber State on September 12. Season tickets, mini-plans, and individual tickets for all CU home football games are on sale now.
