SENIOR (2017): As a senior, Moore remained the Buffaloes leader on both sides of the field and a major contributor to their best season in program history. In her career, Moore started in (74) and played in the most games on the team (75). In the 20 games she started in her senior year, the midfielder recorded 20 goals, eight assists, 29 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers. She took 26 shots, placing 18 on goal, and converted on 1-3 free position shots. Moore was third on the team for caused turnovers and groundballs, and fourth for draw controls. In the season opener against No. 9 Northwestern on Feb. 12, Moore had three groundballs, two draw controls and two caused turnovers to help the Buffs to an overtime victory. She had a season-high five points (three goals, two assists) against Stetson; she added two draw controls and a groundball in the 22-3 win on Feb. 19. In the win over Oregon on March 19, Moore gave Colorado the edge in draw controls with a season best of five; she also picked up three groundballs and assisted a goal to help bring Colorado their ninth consecutive win. Moore’s tenacity on midfield set the tone for the Buffs in their first ever win against Stanford on April 8 as she came up with four groundballs, three draw controls and caused two turnovers. She had another standout performance against San Diego State on April 16 when she recorded two goals, two groundballs, three draw controls and one caused turnover that resulted in the 13-8 win. Moore scored two more goals and had an assist and draw control in the win over California on April 23 to finish the regular season. In the MPSF Tournament Championship game against USC on April 30, Moore put Colorado on the board with an assist and a goal; she added one caused turnover, a draw control and a groundball. The senior led the Buffs to their first NCAA Tournament appearance on May 12 against Massachusetts; she tallied one assist, three groundballs, two caused turnovers and three draw controls in her last collegiate game. Moore’s leadership was vital in legitimizing Colorado’s lacrosse program; helping them to their first national ranking (reaching fourth in all three polls) and set a new school record for most wins (16). Her efforts earned her a spot on the All-MPSF Second Team for the fourth consecutive year; she was also named to the MPSF All-Academic Team for the third time.
 
JUNIOR (2016): Moore served as the team’s leader on both ends of the field, earning first-team all-MPSF and second team IWLCA all-region honors. She started all 18 games as a midfielder and had 13 goals, nine assists, 22 points, 28 shot attempts, 19 shots on goal, 51 draw controls, 30 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers. She led the team in draw controls and was second in caused turnovers, third in ground balls and fifth in assists. She ranked fifth in the MPSF and 34th nationally in caused turnovers per game (1.33) and was fifth in the MPSF and 67th nationally in draw controls per game (2.83). She led the Buffs to an 11-10 win to open the season at Denver on Feb. 12 with three assists and one draw control. Moore scored twice and had four draw controls and two ground balls in an 18-4 win at Fresno State on Feb. 21. She picked up a season-high five ground balls and chipped in with three draw controls and a caused turnover at No. 7/6 Notre Dame on Feb. 26. She had a season-high six draw controls and added four ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 19-4 win over Marist on March 21. Her best performance of the season came in a 14-3 win at UC Davis when she had two goals, two assists, five draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers. As a result, she was named CU Female Athlete of the Week on March 28. Moore also scored twice and controlled four draws at No. 12/10 Stanford on April 3. She scored two times in a 16-4 win over California on April 17. In the MPSF Tournament semifinals, she had a goal, an assist, a ground ball, a caused turnover and three draw controls at No. 9/8 Stanford. She was also named to the MPSF All-Academic Team for her efforts in the classroom.
 
SOPHOMORE (2015): In her second year with the Buffs, Moore continued to shine. She was among the team leaders in points (31), goals (26), assists (5), ground balls (36), draw controls (60), shots (62), and shots on goal (55). Her .887 shots on goal percentage was the best on the team, as were her 60 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers. The midfielder helped lead her team to an 11-7 overall season record and played in all 18 games, starting in all but one. She also earned All-MPSF second team for the second year in a row, MPSF All-Academic, and MPSF Offensive Player of the Week (April 20). She scored a goal in each of the first two games of the year against No. 19 Denver and Marquette, adding five draw controls against DU. She had seven draw controls in a dominating 19-0 shutout against Presbyterian on March 2. Moore started a 12-game goal streak on March 22 with a score in a 14-13 double-overtime victory at Michigan. She had two or more goals in seven straight games from April 3 until she scored one goal in a win over Oregon on April 26. She totaled a season-high seven points with season highs of four goals and three assists in a 21-5 win over Saint Mary's (Calif.) on April 17. She also had three-goal games against No. 13 Stanford, San Diego State and Fresno State, and two-goal games against UC Davis, Southern California and California. Moore had a season-high 11 draw controls in her three-goal game against Fresno State on April 24. One of her best defensive games came in an 8-6 win over Oregon on April 26 when she had five ground balls and four caused turnovers. She had a goal and an assist in a win over San Diego State on April 30 in the first round of the MPSF Tournament.
 
FRESHMAN (2014): The 2014 co-captain proved a true leader in her freshman season. Moore was one of seven Buffs to start all 19 games, and led the team with 68 draw controls, 43 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. Moore also set CU single-game records with seven ground balls (against Brown) and 11 draw controls (against Old Dominion). Her 11 draw controls also matched a 2014 MPSF single-game high. Moore had five or more draw controls in five different games. She ranked in the top four on the team in points (32), goals (29), free-position goals (11), shots (53) and shots on goal (44). She ranked in the MPSF top eight in ground balls, draw controls, shots and free-position goals per game. Moore scored goals in 14 games, beginning the season on a six-game scoring streak. She recorded six hat tricks and scored at least two goals on nine occasions. Moore earned an MPSF Rookie of the Week title for recording hat tricks and netting game-winners in back-to-back games against Temple and Fresno State, the latter of which served as CU’s first ever conference victory. In the MPSF Tournament, Moore tallied two goals, six draw controls, three caused turnovers (becoming one of only two Buffs to record three in a single game) and two ground balls.

HIGH SCHOOL: Moore and the Brick Memorial lacrosse team accomplished a lot in three seasons before Moore was forced to sit out her senior year with an ACL injury. In Moore's first year with the team, the Mustangs recorded their first ever winning season. In her freshman and sophomore seasons, she was named third-team All-Shore. The team's captain for three seasons, Moore scored 94 goals and had 73 assists her junior season while being named to the South Jersey National Team and picking up first-team All-Shore, third-team all-state and team MVP honors. Moore was the Shore's leading point scorer, netting 202 goals and adding 168 assists in three seasons. She was named 2013 ESPN Player to Watch. Moore was also skilled on the soccer pitch. She was her team's captain her junior and senior seasons and earned three MVP honors. She was also a first-team all-county and A-South selection. She spent five seasons with the T3 Elite lacrosse club and helped the Brick Bullets soccer club to the 2009 State Cup Championship. Moore was also a two-year letter-winner in basketball. 

IN THE CLASSROOM: Moore is a psychology major. 

PERSONAL: Marie Moore was born on September 26, 1994, to Bernadette and Adrien David Moore. Moore was on distinguished honor roll all four years of high school. She was a member of the Key Club her freshman year, the National Honor Society as a junior and the Peer Leadership mentoring program as a senior. She enjoys math and going to the beach. She is a New York Yankees fan who loves the music of Sublime.
