SENIOR (2020): Mistretta started in all five games of her senior season and recorded seven points, all assists, in addition to eight ground balls and two caused turnovers. She had a strong start with a pair of assists in the season opener against Florida (2/8) and added another assist in the home opener against Harvard (2/21) where she recorded a season-best two caused turnovers. In the Pac-12 opener against Oregon (3/6), Mistretta recorded a career-best four helpers as the Buffs cruised to a 21-5 rout over the Ducks. In what ended up being the final contest of the season against Coastal Carolina, she picked up a season-high three ground balls in the 19-8 victory for CU.
 
JUNIOR (2019): Mistretta saw action in all 19 games for the Buffs and recorded 15 starts. She continued to be a strong presence in the midfield with 28 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers during the campaign. Mistretta picked up a season-best three ground balls in five games, including in the last three contests of the season. She also had at least two caused turnovers in six games. She recorded a career-high three caused turnovers against Denver (3/26. Mistretta also recorded three goals and three assists for six points. She scored her first free-position goal against Oregon (4/19) in the regular-season finale.
 
SOPHOMORE (2018): Starting in 18 of 20 games played, Mistretta had a strong sophomore season, picking up where she left off after her freshman campaign. The midfielder’s presence was felt throughout the season as she recorded 20 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers, seven goals and five assists. Mistretta scored her first collegiate hat-trick in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Jacksonville (5/11). Her four goals helped to lift the Buffs to their first NCAA Tournament win, a 23-18 victory. She also tallied a career-best four ground balls in the 18-3 win against Virginia Tech (3/4). Mistretta’s defensive play improved for the prior season as she caused one turnover in 12 games, including a last-minute turnover at Southern California (3/16), which helped the Buffs send the game into overtime.
 
FRESHMAN (2017): Mistretta had a strong freshman campaign, starting in 10 out of 16 games played, and became a significant contributor to Colorado’s midfield. Mistretta totaled three goals, eight shots with four on goal, 11 groundballs, 10 draw controls and six caused turnovers. She started in her first collegiate game when the Buffs hosted No. 9 Northwestern for their season opener. Mistretta picked up a groundball and was a standout in transition for the exciting overtime win for the Buffaloes. She scored her first collegiate goal in the narrowly won matchup against Delaware on March 19. Mistretta tallied one goal in the back-to-back games against Saint Mary’s and California on April 21 and 23. She added one groundball and one caused turnover in the win over Saint Mary’s, as well as one draw control against California.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Jen Mistretta graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy in 2016 where she was a four-year letterwinner as a defender. She earned all-county honors three times and was a first-team all-league selection as a senior while serving as team captain. She helped Immaculate Heart to finish as runner-up in the county her freshman, sophomore and senior years. She was also an excellent student and was on the honor roll all four years.

CLUB TEAM: She played for the Hudson Valley Hurricanes for six years.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Mistretta graduated in May 2020 with a degree in strategic communication with an emphasis in advertising. She also earned a minor in political science.
 
PERSONAL: Jen Mistretta was born on July 18, 1998, in Nyack, N.Y. Her brother Nick played football at Columbia. She lists grilled cheese as her favorite food and John Mayer as her favorite musical artist. She chose CU over Michigan, Southern California, Connecticut and Lehigh.
