2019 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll
SENIOR (2020): Mitchell saw action in the final two games for Buffs and helped CU’s defense earn huge wins against Oregon (21-5) and Coastal Carolina (19-8).
JUNIOR (2019): Mitchell switched to defender as a junior and saw time in five games. She recorded one ground ball in the 14-8 win at Oregon (4/19) to end the regular season.
SOPHOMORE (2018): Mitchell played in five games, recording three ground balls, two draw controls and one caused turnover. In the 16-3 win against Arizona State (4/8), she tallied one ground ball and a caused turnover.
FRESHMAN (2017): Mitchell played in three games for the Buffaloes as a reserve midfielder. She had one goal on the year out of three shots. The freshman scored her first collegiate goal in the 22-3 win over Stetson (2/19)f.
HIGH SCHOOL: Mitchell is a 2016 graduate of Shaker Heights High School where she earned all-district as a junior and senior. A four-year letterwinner, she served as a two-year team captain and was voted her team’s MVP as a senior and top defender as a sophomore. She also lettered two years in field hockey, where she was an academic All-American and, and two years in soccer.
CLUB TEAM: Mitchell played for Ohio Premier.
IN THE CLASSROOM: She graduated in May 2020 with a degree in economics and also earned a minor in business.
PERSONAL: Bridget Evelyn Mitchell was born on Oct. 7, 1997, to Robert and Sheila Mitchell. Her mother, Sheila, played field hockey and lacrosse at Denison University. She enjoys racquetball and jewelry, where she has earned several awards, including the Cleveland Clinic Art eXpressions Blue Ribbon Award and the Cleveland Institute of Art Silver Key Award for Jewelry.
