2021-22 (Senior): Started all 31 games for Colorado in its run to the NCAA Tournament…totaled a career-best 131 points…Played in a career-high 602 minutes…Finished the season with career-highs in FGM (50), 3FGM (15) and rebounds (86)…Led the Buffs in scoring for the first time in her career with 11 points at Stanford (2/13/22)…Had a career-high 15 points in CU’s 2OT win over Oregon (2/23/22)…Closed her career at CU with 443 points, 162 assists and 279 rebounds.

2020-21 (JUNIOR): Finau led Colorado with 60 assists in the shortened season…she played in all of CU’s 23 games, starting 15…Finau scored a season-high 12 points in CU’s second-round WNIT win over Nebraska…She handed out a season-high six assists in Colorado’s opening-round WNIT win over Louisiana…Finau had a career-high eight rebounds against USC (2/12/21)…Played 14 minutes in the Buffs’ 77-72 OT upset of No. 1 Stanford…Scored in double figures four times…Averaged 5.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 25.1 minutes per game.

2019-20 (SOPHOMORE): Finau appeared in all 30 games, getting seven starts…Averaged a career-best 3.4 points and 1.5 assists per game…Had a career-high with seven assists against Denver…Totaled a career-high with five steals against Jacksonville…Finau matched her best scoring effort with 14 points against Colorado State.

2018-19 (FRESHMAN): Finau saw time in 28 games in her first season, earning 13 starts. Her first start came on the road at Washington State (1/13). She scored a season-high 14 points in CU’s win over Southern California (2/10). She led the team in assists three times, handing out a season-high with six at Arizona State (2/15). She played a season-high 35 minutes at Oregon (2/3). Finished the season with 3.0 ppg, 2.5 rbg, 1.3 apg and 16.5 minutes per game.  

HIGH SCHOOL: Finau graduated from Dublin High School in 2018 and was a four-year letterwinner. She averaged 20.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 4.8 steals as a senior and was named all-conference three times and all-state once in her career. She led Dublin to the CIF-North Coast Section championship as a freshman and an appearance in the NSC tournament all four years. She also led the team to a 28-4 record as a freshman and a 25-6 record as a senior. Finau was coached by Kareem Summerville and was a scholar-athlete all four years. She was rated as the No. 10 guard by Nor-Cal Preps Rivals.

AAU: She played for Cal Stars and guided the team to a 51-1 record. She was coached by Kelly Sopak.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Graduated in 2022 with a degree in Psychology.

PERSONAL: Lesila Finau was born on Dec. 13, 2000, to Alicia and Ofeina Finau. She has an older brother, Mataio, and two younger sisters, Mele and Lola. In her spare time, she enjoys puzzles and brainteasers. She volunteers by helping deliver Girl Scouts cookies, and coaching and running youth basketball camps. Finau, who originally signed with Minnesota, but was released from her scholarship after a coaching change, chose the Buffs over nine other Division I schools, including Washington and Wisconsin.
