Kelly Jo Mullaney is a scrappy, sharp-shooting guard that saw considerable time at both the 1 and 2 spots in her first season of eligibility at Colorado. A part-time starter a year ago, Mullaney's range and versatility allow the CU coaching staff to choose from a variety of back court options.

2008-09 (Sophomore-Redshirt): Mullaney averaged 5.3 points and 1.4 assists in 28 games as a first-year Buffalo. She started in half of those contests (14), splitting those starts evenly between the first seven and last seven games of the season. Mullaney was CU's most accurate all-around shooter hitting 44 percent from the field (third on the team) and 77 percent from the free-throw line (second on the team). Mullaney reached double digits in scoring five times, including a 14-point effort against her former team, Colorado State (11/19) where she also dished out a career best six assists. Her biggest offensive night came at No. 25 (AP)/24 (WBCA) Iowa State (2/7) where she scored 20 points on 8-of-11 from the field, including a perfect 4-of-4 from 3-point range. She averaged 8.0 points over the final seven games of the season.

2007-08 (Sophomore): Mullaney sat out the 2007-08 season as a redshirt in the Colorado basketball program per NCAA transfer rules after playing her initial collegiate campaign up the road at Colorado State. She participated in practice and conditioning all season and helped the Buffs prepare for opponents as a scout player.

2006-07 (Colorado State): Mullaney played in 13 games for Colorado State during the 2006-07 season, starting in 12, and averaged a team-best 14.5 points per game. She also averaged 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists for the Rams and hit 82.8 percent from the free-throw line. Mullaney played against Colorado in Boulder on Nov. 29, scoring a team-high 17 points with eight rebounds in CU's 56-51 win.

High School: She was a four-year letterwinner for The Breck School where she was a two-time All-Tri-Metro Conference selection and the league's Most Valuable Player as a senior averaging 23 points and four rebounds per game. Mullaney was a Miss Minnesota Basketball finalist in 2006 and twice earned honorable mention to the Associated Press All-State team. She was Breck's leading scorer and team MVP in 2005 and 2006 as the squad had an overall record of 67-6 her final three years of high school, including a 23-1 mark in 2004 and the Minnesota State Championship. Mullaney also won a state title in 2005 with her club team, Minnesota Metro Stars.

Academics: Mullaney is a studio art major at Colorado.

Personal: Kelly Jo Mullaney was born on May 7, 1988 in Minnesota. She is the daughter of Mark and Lynette Mullaney. Her father played 13 seasons for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. Mullaney has one older sister, Erin, one older brother, Mark, and one younger sister Shayne.
