2008-09 (Senior): She capped her career with a career-best 80.22 stroke average in nine rounds over three tournaments. Ko shot in the 70s five times during the season, including all three rounds at the Heather Farr Memorial (75-79-77--231) for her best 54-hole score in her CU career.
2007-08 (Junior): Ko played a career-high 29 rounds as a junior and owned a 82.76 average on the season. Ko shot a career-low 75 in the second round of the CU Heather Farr Memorial, helping the Buffs to a first place finish in their own tournament. Her highest career finish came in the Texas Tech Mchaney/Morehead Invitational when she carded a three-round total of 242 and claimed 40th place.
2006-07 (Sophomore): In her sophomore season, Ko played three rounds for Colorado in CU’s home tournament, the Heather Farr Memorial, finishing 57th overall and posted a career best 78 in both the first and second rounds.
2005-06 (Freshman): Ko played six rounds for the Buffaloes, including three as a member of the scoring five in CU's season opening tournament last year, the Ptarmigan Ram Classic. She had a single season low round 79, her first at the Ptarmigan. She also played three rounds in CU's home tournament, the Heather Farr Memorial, where she finished 68th overall.
High School: A four time letterwinner at Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, Ko was no stranger to the 4A state tournament leaderboard. She turned in a third place finish as a sophomore in the state tournament for her best state tourney finish. Ko was a two time regional champion as a freshman and sophomore and two time regional runner up in her junior and senior seasons. Ko was also a two time Colorado Springs Gazette Player of the Year.
Other: Ko’s home course is Valley Hi Golf Course, where she carded a 73 for her best score on that course. Her low score in competition is a 71, which she shot at the KRDO tournament on the Country Club of Colorado.
In The Classroom: Ko, a three-time Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll member and a 2008 Academic All-Big 12 second team selection, is a business major with an emphasis in finance at the University of Colorado. She is also currently in the Real Estate certificate program.
Personal: Cierra Ko was born Oct. 6, 1986 and is the daughter of Sang and Susan Ko of Colorado Springs. She has one sister, Shanae, who is 18. In high school she was a member of DECA, NHS and EPYCS and also was in the school marching band as a freshman. In her spare time she likes to bowl, play pool and hang out with family and friends.
