Playing on the varsity team from his sophomore year on, he helped the Eagles compile a 44-2 record, which included a 16-0 sophomore season when they won the Class 6A Division I state championship ... His next two years his teams went 14-1 and reached the semifinals of the state playoffs each season ... Garnered honorable mention all-district honors as a junior ...
