2021-22 (Senior): Appeared in nine games, eight of which came during the final two months of the Pac-12 Conference season. Saw his time increase after freshman center Lawson Lovering's season-ending injury in January. Awarded a scholarship for the 2022 Spring semester. Scored his first collegiate points at Washington State (1/30), playing in a career-best 15 minutes. Had played only 12 minutes over five career games to that point. Scored a career-best three points, including his first free throw, in the road win over Stanford (2/19).
2020-21 (Sophomore): Saw action in two games as a first-year Buffalo. Made his collegiate debut in the home win over California (1/14) and played a pair of minutes in the home win over Oregon State (2/8).
Colorado: Joined the team as a walk on in the fall of 2020. Spent his first two years at Colorado training to walk on at Colorado including one season (2019-20) as a practice player for CU’s women’s basketball team.
High School: A 2018 graduate of Seattle Preparatory School. Lettered once in basketball for the Panthers, finished his senior year with a 17-11 record and an appearance in the state tournament. Excelled in lacrosse, earning four letters and serving as the team captain. He was a three-time all-conference selection and helped Seattle Prep to the 2018 Metro League title. Also lettered in football and holds two All City Records in the Seattle Swim League.
Academics: Graduated from Colorado with his bachelor's degree in Computer Science in May 2022. A Chancellor’s Academic Scholarship recipient and Dean’s List honoree. Two-time member of the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll (2020-21, '21-22).
Personal: Born April 23, 2000, in Seattle. He is the son of Carol and Jim Loughlin, both lifelong skiers, bikers and hikers. Has one sister, Sophie, who graduated from Colorado in 2020. Enjoys hiking, biking and skiing. Spent a lot of time on Lake Washington growing up in Seattle and in then in the mountains skiing in the winter. Worked as a volunteer ski instructor for Outdoors for All, teaching kids with disabilities how to ski and enjoy the mountain. Favorite teams are the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Nuggets. Initially came to Colorado to play lacrosse, but decided he enjoyed basketball more.
