HIGH SCHOOL: Recorded three-straight top-10 finishes at the New Mexico State High School Cross Country 5A Championships, including a third-place finish as a junior... her team broke the sprint medley state record (4:11.10) en route to winning the state title in 2019; Meraz-Fishbein ran the anchor leg (800m) ... in the same meet, she placed second in the individual 800 and was third in the 1,600 ... as an eighth-grader, she won her first of three state titles in the 400 ... also won the 800 in her sophomore season, clocking a PR time of 2:15.90 ... was a midfielder on the school’s soccer team and earned a pair of all-district honors ... was named a National Merit Scholar Finalist, a National Hispanic Scholar, and Albuquerque High School Athlete of the Year.
