2006-07 (Senior): Hoch helped the Buffs to another strong season and was fourth on the team with a 77.32 stroke average in 25 rounds over nine tournaments. She had 17 rounds in the 70s with 17 counting towards the team score (out of 22 rounds in the team's lineup). Her best effort of the season was in the season-opening Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic when she tied for seventh with a 74-71-72--217. Her 71 in the second round was her lowest of the season and her only sub-par round. She had another top-10 finish in October at the Heather Farr Memorial, tying for 10th with a 72-78-77--227.

2005-06 (Junior):
Hoch played much of her third year at Colorado as CU's No. 3 golfer, checking in with a 77.31 average on the season.  She posted a pair of top-20 finishes, with her season best of 14th coming at the Heather Farr Memorial/CU Invitational.  Hoch played 32 rounds for the Buffaloes a year ago, with all but one counting towards the team score.  She finished one tournament as CU's top finisher, placing 27th at the Kitihara Fresno State Invitational.  On the season, Hoch had a solid spring, averaging 76.65 per round, almost two strokes better than her fall average of 78.07.

2004-05 (Sophomore): Colorado’s No. 1 player for a second straight season, Hoch held the team’s low strokes per average (74.80), fourth in the league, giving her a two year average of 75.87, her fourth school record. Following a two-stroke runner-up finish in the season opener, Hoch became just the second women’s player to win a tournament, and first since 1998 (27th overall) when she claimed medalist honors in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Denver. Four tournaments later she would become the first Buff to do it twice, picking up the win at the Miccosukee Championship in Miami. That earned her Big 12 Player of the Month recognition, another first for the program. With a three-round 215 at CU’s MountainView Collegiate, she bettered the 54-hole school record by a pair of shots. Another first for the program, she was named second-team All-Big 12 heading into the conference championships.

2003-04 (Freshman): With three top-10 finishes and six top-20, Hoch was the first freshman since Sarah Bellinger (1997-98) to lead the team in strokes per average, doing so in a freshman class record 76.9, which was also the third lowest season average in CU history.  Her second place finish in only her second collegiate tournament was the second-best in program history and top finish for a freshman in the program’s 10 years and her third round 68 at the Lady Aztec Fall Invitational was one shy of the school record and established another freshman best.

High School: As a freshman at Turlock, Hoch was a first-team all-Central California Conference pick, an honor she would repeat the next three seasons before taking league MVP honors her senior year. The Turlock Bulldogs were three-time Central California Conference champions and Hoch’s low stroke average set in 2002 was a Turlock record. Her prep individual match record was 66 wins, 3 ties and 3 losses. The biggest moment of her high school career was a one-hole team playoff to advance to sections where she stuck a pitching wedge six feet from the hole and later made her putt to win the playoff by a stroke...by the headlights of spectators’ cars as it was so dark.

Other: Her home course is the par-74 Turlock Golf and Country Club, although her best career round in competition, a 3-under 70, was at the Spring Creek Junior classic at the Spring Creek Country Club as well as carding a 2-under-par 70 at the George Mahoney Jr. Golf Tournament at the Creekside Golf Course in 2001. Her top amateur performances include a runner-up finish at the 2001 Nor Cal High School Championships, a third place effort at the 2001 Arizona Silver Bell and medalist honors at the Spring Creek Junior Classic in both 2001 and ’02. She also finished second at the 2002 California Junior Girls’ Match Play State Championship at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club. During the summer of ?03 she tied for 11th (77-73-76) at the AJGA Needham Junior Classic at Diablo Grande Golf Course in Patterson, Calif. During the summer of ?04 she was a single stroke shy of qualifying for the US Women’s Amateur.

Best Round In Competition: 68, third round 2003 Lady Aztec Invitational in Chula Vista, Calif.

In The Classroom: A four-year honor roll student at Turlock, Hoch is a finance major at Colorado and turned in a pair of better than 3.0 semesters as a freshman. She will carry a 3.238 grade point average into her junior campaign.

Personal: Hannah Hoch was born June 19, 1985 in San Francisco. She is the daughter of Richard and Karen Hoch of Turlock and she has an older sister, Natalie, who graduated from University of the Pacific. She enjoys snow skiing and reading in her spare time. She is also a member of CU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
