Senior (1997): Swain made 16 starts and appeared in all 18 games as a senior, finishing with five shot attempts. After coming off the bench in the first two contests, she started the final 16 games.

Junior (1996): Finished just behind forward Shawn Kenyon in the scoring column, registering 12 points on five goals and two assists while firing 23 shots. She also recorded a team-high two game winning goals (Missouri and Northern Colorado).

High School: Swain earned four letters in soccer at Highlands Ranch High School, in Highlands Ranch, Colo., for coach Randy Hodous. She earned all-league mention her sophomore through senior seasons and was named all-state as a senior. Highlands Ranch was the league champion each of Swain's four years with the team and won the state championship her senior season, an honor Swain lists at the biggest moment of her high school career. She also earned four letters for the Highlands Ranch swim team and qualified for the state championships her senior year. She was an all-academic team selection for both soccer and swimming each of her four years, and graduated in the top 5 percent of her class.

Personal: Born October 1, 1975, in Denver, Swain is majoring in accounting at Colorado and was a first-team academic all-Big 12 selection in 1996. Her parents are Thomas and Sally Swain of Franktown, Colo. She was a stunt double for the female lead in the movie "Ladybugs."
