Junior (1997): Zoellner started five times and made 15 appearances as a midfielder. She finished with seven shot attempts. Zoellner earned starts in the first two games of the year against Arizona State and No. 17 Florida, along with Oklahoma State, Missouri and Kansas.

Sophomore (1996): One of only six Buffs to start each of the squad's 17 games, Zoellner recorded a goal and an assist with seven shots on the season.

High School: Zoellner earned four letters as a center midfielder for Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, Calif., where she was coached by Khalid Al-Rasheed. She was more than accustomed to winning as a prep, as Los Gatos complied a combined 56-4-2 record from her sophomore through senior campaigns. She earned all-league standing following her junior and senior seasons, and was also recognized as her team's "Best Overall" following her senior season. Los Gatos was the league and Central Coast Section champion her junior and senior seasons. Academically, she spent four years on the honor roll and was presented with the school's Spanish Award her freshman through junior years.

Personal: Born September 1, 1977, in Madison, Wis., Zoellner is majoring in environmental studies at Colorado, with plans to eventually enter the medical profession. She was an honorable mention academic all-Big 12 selection in 1996. Her parents are Gary and Susan Zoellner of Los Gatos, Calif. She was recruited by Arizona and Cornell, but chose to come to Boulder because "the area is beautiful" and she likes the people.
