2008 ? Cesolini kicked off his junior campaign tying his career-best finish in the slalom, taking 12th place at the CU Invitational in Steamboat. Cesolini recorded three additional top-20 finishes before heading into the RMISA Championships where he had his best collegiate performance, claiming two-straight eighth place finishes in the slalom and GS. He topped his best career slalom finish by four places and set a new GS career record by one spot. After leading all Buffs on the weekend, Cesolini just missed a spot as CU’s next qualifier for the NCAA Championships to complete the men’s alpine team.

2007 ? Cesolini claimed top-20 finishes in six different races and cracked the top-10 in back-to-back GS events at the Utah and Denver Invitational’s. Cesolini made one of the most memorable marks at Utah, moving up 40 spots between his first two runs to finish in a tie for 10th after a starting position of 66th. He topped his best career GS finish by 11 spots at the Denver Invitational when he took ninth with a time of 1:57.56 as CU’s top finisher in the race.

2006 ? Cesolini officially joined the Colorado roster in time for the CU Invitational, where he posted his best finish of the season with a 15th place finish in the slalom. He did not finish on four different runs, so his only score in the giant slalom was 20th place at the RMISA Championships. He would have been CU’s next qualifier for the NCAA Championships to complete the men’s alpine team, but came up just short.

Club ? A member of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, Cesolini won the super-G, finished second in the giant slalom and finished second overall at the 2003 Junior Olympics in Keystone. A year later he finished 21st in the GS at the national championships in Alyeska, Alaska and in ’05 was second in the slalom and third in the GS at the Rocky Mountain Trophy Series in Telluride. His competition resume also includes several top-10 FIS/University finishes. He also skied for the Salt Lake City based Romark Ski Team during the 2004-05 season.

Academics ? Cesolini graduated from Steamboat Springs High School in 2003. As a senior he received the Ned Grant Memorial Award, recognizing both academic and skiing excellence, from the SSWSC. He is a sociology major at Colorado and is interested in a veterinary or sports medicine career if he isn’t skiing professionally.

Personal ? Antonio Charles Cesolini was born Sept. 10, 1984 in Bemidji, Minn. He is the son of Caio Cesolini of Bemidji and Linda Geneau of McCall, Idaho. He has two older brothers, Caio (27) and Joe (26) and a younger sister, Jenna (22).
