MEN?S TENNIS FALLS AT BOISE STATE IN MTN. REGION SEMIFINAL

BOISE, Idaho ? The Colorado men’s tennis team bid to make a statement with its young team came up short falling 4-0 to host Boise State in the opening match of the ITA Mountain Region Indoor Championship at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
Boise State will play the winner of the New Mexico/BYU for the Mountain Region Championship.
The Buffaloes 2003 fall team comprised of four freshmen, three sophomores and one junior, lost at number one singles and the four through six 4 slots.
Boise State sophomore Nils Klemann defeated CU’s Marek Dvorak, 6-1 6-1 at the fourth position for a 1-0 lead. Bronco senior Guillaume Bouvier picked up team point #2 with a 6-2 6-2 win over Marko Bundalo at number one spot. The Broncos third team point came at the sixth position with freshman James Ludlow defeating Elliott Quibell, 6-1 6-2. Then junior Mahmoud Rezk picked up the clinching point from the fifth position with a 6-4 6-0 win over Chad Tsuda.
Play then stopped with Boise State clinching the match winning four points.
Boise State junior Matias Silva versus Colorado’s Peter Bjork at the number two spot and BSU sophomore Thomas Schoeck versus Colorado’s Marcus Digliodo at number three did not finish.
Doubles did not therefore play.
