BUFF WOMEN RANKED NO. 20 IN COACHES POLL

BOULDER - The University of Colorado women's basketball team has been rated No. 20 in the nation according the ESPN/USA Today Preseason WBCA Coaches Poll, the WBCA announced Tuesday.
This marks the second time in the past three seasons that the Buffs have made the preseason coaches poll, and the seventh time in the last 10 years. It also marks the 11th season that CU has made a coaches poll appearance, the fourth in a row. CU was last ranked in the coaches poll at the end of last season, when they were rated No. 19 following their NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.
The Buffaloes were picked fifth in the Big 12 Media Preseason poll which was released Monday, and were also fifth in the Big 12 Coaches Preseason Poll.
Colorado opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 14, when they host the WBCA Classic at the Coors Events Center. The tournament gets underway at 6 p.m. when No. 16 Notre Dame takes on Postseason WNIT Champion Auburn, followed by CU vs. Old Dominion at 8:15 p.m. Tickets are still available this outstanding tournament by calling 303-49-BUFFS.

The Buffs will play their second and final exhibition this Friday, Nov. 7 when they face defending NCAA Division II champions South Dakota State. Fans can get a “Chip’s Court” ticket for just $5 - which includes a general admission ticket, hot dog and soda. “Chip’s Court” is limited to the first 1,000 purchasing in advance. Also available are general admission tickets for only $1. Both are on sale in advance at TicketsWest in all King Soopers or on the web at CUBuffs.com. The $1 general admission tickets will also be available at the door the night of the game. Fans will be able to check out seat locations and ticket office staff will be available to take orders for Season Tickets & Fan Packs.
